Coalescence! It’s A Thing.

So, months ago I mentioned something about actually releasing details about our game project this year.  And then, I didn’t.  I didn’t for a really long time.  Well, we fell pretty behind on core mechanics implementation for a really long time and just didn’t have anything we felt was worth showing.  That is, until now.

So, allow me to present our game project: Coalescence!  Coalescence is a 2D, side scrolling puzzle platformer where you utilize molecular state changing between solid/gel/gas states to navigate the game world and clear a path to the exit.  While we are still working to tweak and polish art and level content, we feel the following screen shots do enough to represent the concept and our progress and not embarrass us.  So, behold!

Level 1 Level 3! With gas.

Level 4. With turrets! Level6!

So, there you have it!  We’re still hard at work to make it play and look and sound as good as possible, but that’s where we’re at right now.  We’re hoping to make more regular updates to the site from this point onward, so check back from time to time.

Also, you should like us on Facebook (here), because we’ll probably update that when there are updates here.

Music Time With The New Synth

Things have been quiet for a while.  A lot longer while than we expected.  We’re very sorry about that, but we’re finally about to release a whole bunch of information about our current project (now that it exists).  Not quite yet, but soon.  Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, I give you a picture of the team crowded around the synth!

We headed downstairs into the studio for a bit tonight to mess around with it now that I finally got the C batteries required to power it.  After a lot of screwing around, I think we hit upon something solid because we all think that it’s good.  Which is amazing.

So, stay tuned and there should be a big update regarding the game in the next week or so.  And maybe we’ll include a music sample if we’re far enough along on that.

AnguishGames.com Is Now Online!

The website is now officially up and running, despite not having very much content… yet.  Expect that to come as we get closer to our first GAM200 milestone.  But rest assured, this is the place to go for all news regarding our games.  And if we get time, we might also retroactively include some information about our previous game, Rupert J. Scuttlemeyer and the Robotville Adventures.
